It’s okay to not have it all figured out!

As long as I can remember I was always chasing some sort of certainty. I’ve always been pretty incredible at overthinking and overanalysing every single little thing, thinking of the worst case scenario just so I could be ‘prepared’ for things if they didn’t go ‘right.’

It’s a tiring place to be at when you’re constantly trying to figure out the next thing/moment and life is really just asking of you to let go a bit and trust more.

I’ve never felt like I had it all figured out and I still don’t. There have been times that I felt less or more okay with that though.

Instead of stressing about not having things figured out, I ask myself if I can relax a little bit into not knowing and be okay with it even for a few seconds or minutes a day?

That’s been my daily practise, whether through meditation, finding gratitude in the smallest things, connecting with the people I adore, being in nature, or really just focusing more on the present moment in ‘boring,’ daily activities.

There is so much beauty in not having everything figured out. Accepting that uncertainty makes it less scary.

Less overthink and more being is the key.

I’d love to know: Is this something you struggle with yourself? What has been helpful for you?
