I’ve lived with mental health issues for most of my life and I felt like those totally stripped down the person that I was.
But now I know that I am not my mental illness, I am not the traumas, I am not what happened to me. I was at the very rock bottom when I started to rebuild myself and my life, I still have a long way to go, but now I’m able to see that I am so much more than those issues and challenges.
I’ve made a conscious decision to work on myself and my recovery daily. It’s been a very challenging journey so far and there’s still more challenges I am facing/have to face. But I am now able to share more of my own progress, things that have worked/are working me and things that maybe haven’t worked so well. Struggles that broke me down, and the times that I’ve rebuild myself, lessons I’ve learnt, lessons I’m learning. And things that I love and I’m passionate about.
This is set up a little bit like a diary blog. I have first thought of making this blog back in August so that’s when I started writing. I now have two notebooks, fullll of potential blog posts and ideas that I will be posting, so there will always be a date of when I actually wrote that.
As I am still very much so in recovery, I will not be setting regular posting times as of yet. I want this to be like my little, space of the internet where I can share literally anything that’s on my mind and hopefully help others who will read it.
So here it is, to this new and not so new blogging journey!:D
Love, Kay ❤
